Spring Chinook angling on the Columbia River is open through Friday to both boat and bank anglers from Tongue Point upstream to Bonneville Dam; and from Tower Island Power Lines upstream to the Oregon/Washington border above McNary Dam, plus the banks only between Bonneville Dam and Tower Island Power Lines. The bag limit is two adult salmonids.

Fishing Report: Plenty of sun...and water

May 11th, Launched out of Cathederal Park about 6:00 a.m.  Fished four rods till about 8:00 a.m…………..Like any optimistic angler I figured I just needed to change locations and I would be successful Saturday May 12th.  Launched from Gilbert River boat ramp about 6:00 a.m. neither day produced fish……………..

News: Bottomfish biting before wind at weeks end

Sportfishermen on both sides of the border were whacking bottomfish early last week, with limits of both rockfish and lingcod reported out of Brookings and Crescent City.

It was a good week for bottomfish anglers on both sides of the Oregon-California border until windy weather sent anglers back to shore on Thursday and Friday.
